  • One of five footballing brothers, three of whom won England caps. Their father was William Samuel Bambridge who was a schoolmaster at Eton, missionary to New Zealand and most famously Royal Photographer to Queen Victoria. One of the brothers, George, was personal secretary to the Duke of Edinburgh.
    Arthur Leopold played for the Windsor, Upton Park, Swifts, Clapham Rovers and Corinthians but had to retire through injury in 1884 and became an artist travelling extensively abroad.
