  • Shirt NumbersAccording to the video footage the England players are wearing odd shirt numbers. It is sometimes usual for competition squad numbers to be used in warm-up matches but these numbers don't tally with the numbers used throughout the 1970 World Cup. These numbers were also used in the next match against Ecuador.
  • Bogota BraceletPrior to the match Bobby Moore was accused of stealing a bracelet from a shop in the foyer of their Bogota hotel.
