De Rød-Hvide (The red and whites) have been playing official international football since the 1908 Olympic games in London, where they took silver, but their roots go back to the founding of the Dansk Boldspil-Union in 1889.
The first meeting against England was a nil-nil draw at Idrætsparken, Copenhagen in 1948 but despite a 4-1 drubbing they gave England in a friendly in 2005 - the worst England result for 25 years - they have only managed two competitive wins - a Euro 84 qualifier and a 2019 UEFA Nations League.
