Tunisia's first match was a local derby against neighbours Algeria in 1957, losing 2-1. They have qualified for five World Cups but have not progressed beyond the group stage. In the African Cup of Nations, they were winners in 2004.
They drew with England in a friendly in Tunis in 1990 and then met in the first group game of the World Cup in 1998. England won that match with goals from Alan Shearer and Paul Scholes.
The last meeting was in the 2018 World Cup where Harry Kane's brace helped England win 2-1.
