Notes:
The Football Association of the People's Republic of China was founded in 1924, affiliated to FIFA in 1931 and AFC in 1974. Their first match was 1-0 victory of Philippines in 1913.
As part of their warm-up preparations for Euro '96, England flew out to the Far East, first to play China in Beijing and then an unofficial game against a Hong Kong XI three days later. The game was overshadowed by the famous "dentist's chair" incident where several players were photographed in a nightclub in Hong Kong.
