Notes

  • Tournament InfoThe Home Championships of 1966/67 & 1967/68 were used as qualifying Group 8 for the European Championships.
  • Player InjuryThere are some early robust challenges involving Jack Charlton who goes in hard on Lennox on the wing (11:23) and then on Wallace (12:34). Both Lennox and Charlton require a lengthy injury break in which Charlton leaves the field with a broken toe on his right foot (14:17). When he returns 10 minutes later (25:43) his injury prevents him from taking up his regular defensive duties and he spends the rest of the match in a less demanding attacking role where he manages to find the net!
