The United States Cup was an annual international football tournament held in the USA from 1992 until 2000, except in years coinciding with the FIFA World Cup. Each year, the hosts invited three distinguished national teams to compete in a round-robin format, offering a valuable platform for international competition and preparation.
In the 1993 edition, England was among the invited sides, alongside footballing heavyweights Brazil and Germany. Despite the formidable opposition, England’s performance was underwhelming, as they finished bottom of the table with just a solitary point to their name.
