Ghana Football Association
- The Gold Coast was a British Colony until independence in 1957. The Gold Coast Football Association that was formed in 1920 and retitled the Ghana Football Association that same year. FIFA and CAF affiliation followed the next year. Ghana have won the African Cup of Nations four times and have qualified for the last three World Cups; their best result being a quarter-final in 2010 against Uruguay where they were cruelly knocked-out on penalties after Luis Suarez had denied them a clear winner in extra time by handling a goal-bound shot on the line.
They have met England once; a 1-1 draw in 2011 at Wembley.
