The Reggae Boys played their first international match in 1925 beating Haiti 2-1. They have won the Caribbean Cup on six occasions and were runners-up in the 2015 Gold Cup. They have only qualified for one World Cup, in 1998 losing to Croatia and Argentina but beating Japan.
England played them in a 2006 World Cup warm-up match as they represented similar opponents to Trinidad and Tobago who they had drawn in the group stage. England won 6-0.
