Ukraine

Українська Асоціація Футболу (Ukrainian Association of Football)
Founded: 6th March 1991
Federation: UEFA
- Independence threw the Ukrainian national football team, like most of the old Soviet Union states, into the deep end of international football.
Their first match was a 3-1 loss to Hungary in April 1992. The 'Blue and Yellow' have appeared in only one World Cup in Germany 2006, where they reached the quarter-final. Continentally, the 2012 European Championship was their first albeit as co-hosts and suffered a controversial 1-0 loss to England which put them out of the competition at the group stage. That match was bookended by two World Cup qualifying campaigns which saw one win each for 2010 and two draws for 2014. England and Ukraine also met at the quarter final stage of Euro 2020 when England ran out comfortable 4-0 winners and they were paired for qualifying for the next Euro tournament.
England have also played two friendlies against Ukraine winning 2-0 and 3-0.
