Saudi Arabia drew their first international football match 1-1 with Lebanon in 1957. They have won the Asian Cup three times in 1984, 1988 and 1996. They qualified for four straight World Cups from 1994 to 2006 but have missed out on the last two.
They have met England twice; one at home and one away. Both games were draws.
