Reg Macaulay (24th August 1858 - 15th December 1937) was an international footballer who represented England 1 time scoring 0 goals. His only cap was against Scotland on 12th March 1881 at the age of 22. Macaulay, born on 24th August 1858, in Hodnet, Shropshire, has a FA Legacy Number of 89 and played as a Centre Forward for his country.
Notes:
Macaulay attended Eton College and then went up to King's College, Cambridge where he won a soccer blue in 1881 and 1882. He also represented Cambridge at high jump where he became the English amateur high jump champion in 1879. He reached three consecutive FA Cup finals from 1881-1883 but only won one in 1882. His solitary England cap came a month prior to his first FA Cup final appearance. He also turned out for Clapham Rovers. His work took him to India in 1884, returning in 1901 where he was a merchant with Wallace & Co of Bombay and chairman of the Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation.
