Jimmy Whitehead (29th January 1871 - August 1929) was an international footballer who represented England 2 times scoring 0 goals. His first cap was against Wales on 13th March 1893 at 22 years old, and his last was vs Ireland on 3rd March 1894 aged 23. Whitehead, born on 29th January 1871, in Church, Lancashire, has a FA Legacy Number of 208 and played as a Inside Right for his country.

Whitehead joined Accrington FC in 1890 where he scored 23 goals from 73 appearances. He transferred to Blackburn Rovers in the summer of 1893 who paid a princely sum of £100 for his services. Accrington used the money to wipe out most of their debt. He joined Manchester City for the 1897/98 season but only made 24 appearances before going back to Accrington, this time with Accrington Stanley, after the original Accrington FC had folded. He died in 1929.
